Our Founder

Liz Headshot.jpg

I grew up in a family of weekend gardeners.

I went on to spend a career inside buildings, always looking outside to the green space. And then one day, I decided to make the green space my office.

I am now a certified landscape designer with a Mastery in Landscape Design and Horticulture from North Carolina State University.

I love gardens and landscapes, creating outdoor rooms, pollinators, the soil that enriches the plants, daisies in full bloom, and the joy that comes from watching a dragonfly light on a plant. And I love helping others bring this to their own gardens.

In a world that can often be chaotic, I love bringing serenity to home gardens – whether modern or traditional – that are easily maintained and fit busy lifestyles.

Stop by the shop if you are ever in the area. I’d love to meet you and talk about all things gardening.

Our Commitment to Quality

Nestled along a bustling thoroughfare, Belvedere Station is committed to excellence in every aspect of our offerings. Our marketplace celebrates the artistry of regional artisans and growers, housed within a meticulously refurbished 1960s filling station. From farm-fresh produce to handcrafted goods, each item in our curated collection reflects our unwavering commitment to quality. We take great pride in fostering community connections and providing an exceptional shopping experience that captures the essence of our region.

Our Story

Belvedere Station is located on a major thoroughfare that runs through Shelby, North Carolina. It is a marketplace featuring local growers, makers, and crafters. Set in a renovated 1960s filling station it has been reclaimed as a botanically-themed shop for produce, fresh-baked breads, plants, heritage seeds, and related wares such as candles, soaps, glassware and vintage items.

This 1300 square foot space is pioneered by a woman who has a mastery certificate in horticulture and landscape design, along with a certificate in interior design from the New York Institute of Design and North Carolina State University.

The shop sits at the edge of a National Historic neighborhood.
